The architect, design engineer, construction organizer, manufacturer, author of different confessions cathedrals, profitable residential houses and villas, industrial buildings and municipal buildings, mausoleums, palaces and railway stations. Scene-designer, created clothes and jewellery sketches. Traveller, visited Asian and African countries, author of the book “In African Jungle”. Admired hunting and was a member of hunting societies of Russia, Poland, England and France. He was a Polack of origin. In 1890 graduated from Petersburg Academy of Arts. In 1897 after disposal of Volodymyr Nikolaev, V.Horodetskiy headed the works on Kyiv City Museum of Antiquity and Art construction under the Moscow architect Petr Boitsov’s project, which had been finished in 1901 with the addition to the backside under the project by the architect P.Hollandskiy. In 1918 V.Horodetskiy immigrated to Poland, was the head of Architect Bureau of “Ulem and Co” American company. Later held the position of the Head Architect of Persian railways, worked in Teheran, designed the palace of shah. In 1996 Kyiv street was called in the name of Architect Horodetskiy.
