National Art Museum of Ukraine to its 110^th anniversary presents a project “Impressionism and Ukraine”, for which were chosen 150 works of Ukrainian painting of the late 19^th – beginning of the 20^th century from the collections of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Vinnytsya Regional Art Museum, Zaporizhzhya Regional art Museum, Kyiv Museum of Russian Art, Lviv Art Gallery, National Art Museum im. Andrey Sheptytsky, Odesa Art Museum, Sumy Regional Art Museum im. N.Onatsky, Kharkiv Art Museum, Kherson Regional Art Museum, and Kyiv private collections.

Andre Jolive always was interested in this form of art, which starts its history in the first years of XXth century. “Book of an artist” is a book, created as an art object, or an art object, created as a book. Visual images in such a work are not only illustrations, they no longer play secondary role. They are an answer, an artist’s reflection to the images, created by word.
