Andre Jolive always was interested in this form of art, which starts its history in the first years of XXth century. “Book of an artist” is a book, created as an art object, or an art object, created as a book. Visual images in such a work are not only illustrations, they no longer play secondary role. They are an answer, an artist’s reflection to the images, created by word.

An exhibition “Ukrainian New wave. Painting, photo, video of the second half of the 80-ies – beginning of the 90-ies” is the first exhibition in long-term, several-staged project. At the time of its realization in the museum will be presented wide range of art phenomena of the end of the 80-ies – first half of the 90-ies, which demonstrates transition from soviet to contemporary art of Ukraine and its inclusion to the international context.
