Painting

Exhibition opened in two halls of the first floor presented paintings by Nikolaus Hipp (the first exhibition took place in our museum in 1990). This time non-figurative art of N.Hipp was vividly complemented with the constructively adjusted sculpture by Gabriela Von Habsburg. Meeting of two artists in one expositional environment became a real tradition in these latter days…

The book UTOPIA. The Chronicles. 1992–2005 is a logical continuation the “UTOPIA” project, at which Makov has been working for almost 15 years. In spring of 2003 this project was presented in the galleries of our museum.

For the first time in Ukraine a whole project of Mykola Babak, the artist had worked on for the previous 5 years, called “Celestial Chronicle” was presented in four halls of the museum.
