28.10.2005 – 27.11.2005 Mikalous Konstantinas Ciurlionis. “A Fantastic World of Symbols, Light and Harmony”

The exhibition shows 88 fascimile copies of Ciurlionis’s artworks. Since 2000, the Memorial Centre of Culture “The House of Ciurlionis in Vilnius” with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania organizes exhibitions and concerts abroad, dedicated to Mikalous Ciurlionis - one of the brightest representatives of Lithuanian professional music and great artist. For already a century his art remains a topic for vivid discussions.

11.10.2005 – 23.10.2005 6th INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ORIGAMI
Origami
Curator: Tetyana Hrushchenko, Mariya Zadorozhna

The exhibit shows works by prominent masters from different countries of the world, as well as the collection of the Origami Center in Japan (Tokyo). Experts from Ukraine, Russia and Moldova conduct master-classes for persons interested and seminar lessons for school teachers.

The exhibition opened in 4 halls of the museum’s second floor, had 121 work by the famous modern Japanese artists, leaders of the Japanese calligraphic school.

The exhibition had works by leading architects of Ukraine, Russia, Baltic countries presenting all fashionable trends of modern post-soviet countries’ interiors: over 30 works by Ukrainian architects occupied in private architecture area (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrivsk, Odessa) and works of winners and nominee of “The Best Interior of the Year” Russian award in 2003–2004 (Moscow), projects by Latvian architects.
