The acquisition of new objects is one of the priority directions of the museum’s activities. Upon Ukraine’s becoming independent, the museum, when acquiring new works, started taking into consideration their artistic and not ideological significance. Under the new historical circumstances, every five years NAMU organizes exhibits of works it has recently received.
