Roman Zhuk belongs to acknowledged masters of contemporary Ukrainian art. Together with Arsen Savadov and Heorhiy Senchenko, he was among the founders of Ukrainian trans-avantgarde art in late 1980’s. A representative of the Lviv school of art, he, however, soon turned into the artist of the globalization age: in his art he combined the trends of Lviv, Kyiv and Amsterdam.

As an artist, Kryvolap tries to reach fundamental principles of the art language: invariable, authentic, essential words. These are color horizons, skeletons, color constructions. This is a moving game, flow of color horizontals in constructions.

Curator: Victor Sydorenko

The central topic of the last projects of Ukrainian artist Victor Sydorenko is a problem with identification of personality in post-totalitarian contemporary society. Artist’s works, affecting a viewer by the wide range of methods of visual art – from painting and sculpture to video and photography – not only demonstrate repertoire of his creative experiments, but often determine general vectors of art interests of the actual creative field.
