The exhibition in the National Art Museum of Ukraine will have the works created within the period from 2000 to 2008. 30-35 paintings in-folio will be presented. Only some of them have been shown at other exhibitions. Concept of the painting installation was created specially for three museum halls. In other exhibition space the idea would be totally different. For color objects it is important to have the visual space they cooperate with and create certain content. Three halls, three color areas. Movement, walking of the observer is an integral part of the project; - he is enabled to see the transparent topics, to rhyme the plastic signs, to swim out from one color area to another. The artist, while creating his works, has passed only the half of the way. The observer by his walking and moving will pass his own half.

I’ll never forget words of Maurice Denis, who told in the late XIX century: «remember that the painting, before it becomes a horse, a naked woman, this or that story, is, basically, a flat surface covered with colors that are combined in certain sequence». Goethe, who philosophized on this issue one century before, mentioned that the “light, shadow and color that are combined and arranged let us differentiate one object from another. These three elements: light, shadow and color build up our visual world, enable existence of painting», and they might result into possible achievement of pleasant OBSERVING without a necessity, and sometime even of chances and communications.
Colors that you use do not mean anything certain for me, they serve only for the OBSERVING, but WATCHING doesn’t mean grasp the essential. But there is something that attracts me.
Your painting is that invisible because it is hidden in the deep layer of viscous color. I WATCH and I look through Your story on PAINTING, a story, the existence of which you desperately reject, with my painfully passive glance. But I stand out and in the same desperate way keep looking through the “surface covered with colors”. I find the next color layer, then another one and under it many others, crowd of color surfaces till the canvas basis, which give the beginning to Your stories each time.
PAINING is a way to revive the harmony with the world. If you give this answer, then may be you will agree with me, ME as a PAINTER, that the PAINTING is a possibility to LOOK in the way, when WATCHING would become the ABSOLUTE and TOTAL experience...
