12.01.2021 Online lecture: "Ukrainian avant-garde: art exhibitions as a field of experiment"
Friends, we invite you on this Saturday, January 16, at 12:00 to the first lecture of the new year. The lecture "Ukrainian avant-garde: art exhibitions as a field of experiment" will be extremely fascinating, because it will tell about the most famous exhibitions of Ukrainian avant-garde artists in the early twentieth century. For example, the exhibition "Lanka" ("Link"), which opened on November 2, 1908, presented, among others, works by Olexandr Bohomazov, Burliuk brothers, Olexandra Exter, gained a really scandalous reputation.
How did the artists provoke the audience during the exhibition? How did they defend the "new art"? How did contemporaries evaluate Ukrainian avant-garde artists?
Learn this much more on this Saturday at a lecture by Olena Kashuba-Volvach, head of the research department of art of the XX - early XX centuries.
Join the lecture on the Zoom platform on Saturday 16.01 at 12:00.
