Does Ukraine need a Great State Coat of Arms? How did the Great State Emblem? What is its role in terms of art history? More recently, these issues have been perhaps the hottest topics for discussion in society. To the Day of Unity of Ukraine in the framework of the exhibition project "Sign of Unity. The Great State Emblem: From Narbut to Yakutovych ”and the presentation of the thematic special issue of the magazine "Antikvar" we invited experts to a round table to learn more about our“ Sign of Unity ”both in the historical and artistic context.

In the discussion, experts will address the following topics:
- Exhibition project “Sign of Unity. The Great State Coat of Arms: From Narbut to Yakutovych” at NAMU, its design, relevance and results.
- Circumstances of the origin of the state coat of arms in the context of socio-political movements and discussions around the national question, visual and historical sources of the emblem.
- Artists as creators of the Great State Coat of Arms of Ukraine - Heorhiy Narbut, Vasyl Krychevskyi, Serhiy Yakutovych, Mykola Bytynskyi.
- What role does the coat of arms plays today in the formation of Ukrainian identity, unity in the country and in the world context.
