Serhiy Kharkov`s guided tour through the exhibition "Helper, companion, friend".
For the first time in human history, the rights of apes were recognized in the parliaments of Spain and New Zealand, and in 2012, the Cambridge Declaration of Scientists officially declared the presence of animal consciousness. Serhiy Kharkov, deputy of general director of the Kyiv Zoo, as part of the exhibition project "Helper, companion, friend", will conduct an author's tour about how the place of animals in human society has dramatically changed from the nineteenth century to present. These changes have found its reflection in ethics, law, and, of course, in art.
